The amount due

A tax, licence fee, permit charge or statutory levy is set by the responsible authority. A digital service presents that amount with the application or account it belongs to, creating a payment reference that can be followed through the transaction.

Platform and convenience fees

Crawford's published statement describes a 2% platform service fee on government e-service transactions. It also describes a separate allocation connected with a $15 e-visa convenience fee. The payment screen and receipt should make each component clear to the user.

From payment to reconciliation

The payment reference connects the customer's invoice, the processor's settlement and the institution's reconciliation. Matching the service, amount, time and reference helps the receiving institution credit the correct account and investigate exceptions.

Reading a receipt

A useful receipt identifies the service, amount paid, transaction reference, date and payment status. It gives the customer a record while providing the service team and finance team with a shared reference for support and reconciliation.
